The World Union of Jewish Students and the European
Union of Jewish Students are sending a delegation of 50 Jewish
student leaders to the upcoming OSCE (The Organization for Security and
Cooperation in Europe) conference on Antisemitism, in Berlin on
28th-29th of April.
Prior to the OSCE-conference, The World Union of Jewish Students (WUJS),
the European Union of Jewish Students (EUJS) and the Federal Union of
German Jewish Students (BJSD) will be holding a one-day seminar on how
to deal with the ever-growing problem of Antisemitism on campus.
The Conference will take place at the Juedisches Museum Berlin on the 26th
April 2004.
50 Student leaders from throughout the European Union will attend
this seminar, to discuss the prevalence of Antisemitism in their countries.
The aim is to provide a forum to create joint initiatives and to discuss
clear, strong measures to combat Antisemitism in all its forms.
At the end of the seminar, the participants will publish a 10-point action
plan for presentation to the delegates of the OSCE conference.
The WUJS-EUJS Delegation is sponsored by the World Jewish Congress
(WJC) and will include the participation of a number of well-known figures
including Mr. Israel Singer, Chairman of the Board of Governors of
the World Jewish Congress, Prof. Gert Weisskirchen, German Parliament
member of SPD and Vice-president of OSCE PA and others.
